Mock Trial Team Reaches Quarterfinals

At the height of the fall semester, seniors on the Mock Trial team study, rehearse and head to court to represent our school in an eloquent and educated manner. Louisville’s Mock Trial program was created to help students acquire knowledge of our judicial system, develop analytical abilities and communication skills, and gain an understanding of their responsibilities as participating members of our society fighting for social justice. Louisville's All-Girl Mock Trial Team has a successful year, finishing as quarter-finalists in the Los Angeles County Mock Trial competition.
Louisville High School has been sending talented teams to competitions each year for nearly 30 years, and is one of many schools representing Los Angeles County. Headed by our very own Mr. Michael Telesca, Louisville’s Mock Trial team has won the Los Angeles County Senior Division Championship ten times, as well as a State Championship once.

Witness Melanie Bezinover ‘19 says about her experience, “Not only did Mock Trial show me a portion of our American justice/legal system in action, but also allowed me to form stronger connections with my classmates and ultimately have an amazing social and educational experience!”

The 2018 Mock Trial team performed amazingly and Louisville is beyond proud to say that the incredibly talented team placed Top 12 in the entire Los Angeles County.
