Innovation Lab: Wind Turbines!

Students learned how to transform wind energy into electrical energy by building their own miniature wind turbines and measuring the electrical current they produce. By testing and refining their models, students were also able to study how design and position affect electrical energy production. A simple hobby motor and LED lightbulb were provided but students were challenged to build their turbines out of everyday products and waste.
