Class of 2021 Struts Their Stuff at the Fashion Show
On April 25, the Louisville community celebrated our beautiful senior graduates with the traditional Mother/Daughter Royal Tea and Fashion Show.
The festivities began in the middle of the week with an online silent auction and boutique filled with unique items for purchase and bidding. The shopping experience included clothing, accessories, handbags, and homewares and the auction offered categories such as “Outdoor Fun” and “Adventure Awaits.” Our raffle generated some excitement and Tess Csiszar is now the proud owner of two Tory Burch handbags! Congratulations!
When Sunday arrived, the day began with Tea for Two packages that were delivered to guests’ homes. The meals included a variety of tea sandwiches, scones, and delectable sweets along with a collection of teas and bubbly drinks all packaged in a handy reusable insulated bag. The highlight of the event was the fashion show featuring Louisville’s wonderful senior models and some of their dads.
The show was envisioned and choreographed by Louisville alumna and Director of Performing Arts, Tracy Guaderrama Powell ’83. It consisted of five scenes with the stunning Louisville campus as the backdrop. One scene was filmed on the picturesque lawn in the back of the convent. It is truly remarkable to see the transformation of these young students from apprehensive, young 9th graders to confident, poised, courageous women who are ready to shape the world.
