Junior year is full of questions – about what type of college to consider, what careers would be fulfilling, and what path to take to get there. Each of our panelists shared personal stories about how they shifted their goals and pursued jobs that were a good personal fit. They shared what to expect, and about the unexpected roadblocks and choices they each made along the way. Some of the take-aways were "Focus on your strengths." "Don't be afraid to try new, unfamiliar things." "You are enough." "Pay attention to when you lose track of time, it means you are enjoying your work."
We appreciate the support from our alumnae to make the Focus Program a premier distinctive program at Louisville, where our role to educate young women about their future possibilities grows broader every day. A huge thank you to Sheila (Tripe) Benko '73 for facilitating the Career Development Seminar this year. Her expertise as a Career Counselor gave the juniors so much to think about and put into practice in the future.
