Louisville Alumnae on the Front Lines

Thank you to our Louisville graduates working across the country on the front lines of healthcare during this challenging time. We have four graduates so far to share about from the classes of 1978, 1982, and 2009. You are truly WOMEN WHO SHAPE THE WORLD. Click to read about them!
Christianna Sim ‘09, MD, MPH is an Emergency Medicine-Internal Medicine Resident Physician in Brooklyn, New York at one of the busiest ER’s in the country. This public hospital provides care for the most underserved and vulnerable populations in their community and has become the epicenter of the COVID-19 pandemic. Christianna is inspired by her colleagues as they continually run directly into the fire without hesitation, showing up in full force to care for our community.

Anne Parker ’78 is a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco and a Neonatal Clinical Nurse Specialist at Sutter Santa Rosa Regional Hospital in Santa Rosa. Thank you, Anne, for being an inspiration to us all.

Rola Hawatmeh Meredith ‘09 is an Emergency Room RN in Cincinnati, OH at Good Samaritan Hospital where her husband is also a surgical resident. While at Louisville, Rola played basketball, was class VP, and was a Kairos leader. Louisville will always be close to her heart.

Maura Parker Quinlan '82 is an Associate Professor at Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, and practices general obstetrics and gynecology. While at Louisville, she was active in student government and was behind-the-scenes in the plays. Louisville is where she realized that women can do anything – maybe that’s why she chose Women’s Health!
