LA HABRA, Calif. – Yesterday, Tuesday 5/14/2019, the Louisville Royals softball team defeated No. 3 Whittier Christian by a score of 3 to 0 to advance to the CIF Southern Section Division 5 Finals.
Sophomore Grace Luderer who pitched a one hit shutout with 10 strikeouts led the Royals. Senior Nicole Norman had the first run batters in (RBI) of the game with a double, scoring fellow senior Shayna Slade. Senior Clarissa Flores drove in Nicole Norman on an RBI single. The scoring ended with freshman Coco Cohen scoring on an RBI groundout from fellow freshman Maya Pirkl. This is the Louisville Royals second trip to the CIF Southern Section finals in 4 years. The CIF Southern Section finals will be Saturday, 5/18/2019, at 3:30 pm in Irvine versus Torrance High School
