Cross Country Headed to C.I.F.

La Crescenta, Calif. – The Louisville Cross Country Team competed on Wednesday, 10/31/18, in the Mission League Cross Country Finals at Crescenta Valley Park. The Royals snagged third place, which qualified them to advance to C.I.F. Prelims on November 10 in Riverside. Everyone on the team stepped up and competed fearlessly over the 3-mile course against Harvard-Westlake, Immaculate Heart, Marymount, and Marlborough High School. 

Junior, Kaydee Inouye, who placed sixth overall and set a personal course record time of 19:58, led the varsity team. Followed by Junior Kristen Huber who placed thirteenth in a time of 21:42. The third scoring athlete was Junior Lizeth Ochoa, who had her best team finish and placed 20th in a time of 22:46. Junior Chloe Maslansky finished 21st overall in a personal course record time of 22:49. The fifth scoring athlete was Junior Lila Dubois who placed 24th in a time of 23:06. Rounding out our sixth and seventh runners were Sophomore Sofia Gavura in a time of 24:35 and Freshman Cristina Erskine who set a personal record time of 24:53.
In the JV race, Freshman Emilee Garcia-Guzman placed 20th overall in a personal course record time of 25:57. Senior Janisse Miranda finished 35th in a time of 28:51. Junior Madison Barbello placed 37th in a time of 29:21. Congratulations to our Louisville Cross Country Team!
