STEM Focus Program Tours Aerojet Rocketdyne

Our STEM cohort toured the Aerojet Rocketdyne plan in Chatsworth, getting a close-up and hands-on look at the manufacturing of the RS-25 rocket engines that will propel the Artemis V mission to the Moon in 2025.  Our hosts included two Louisville dads, Bryan Bulman and Jerry Jackson, along with several young women engineers who taught us about metal 3D printing and the entire rocket engine manufacturing process. They all shared their educational and professional experiences with our girls over lunch, providing very important insight into engineering careers. Louisville looks forward to continuing our STEM connection with Aerojet Rocketdyne!
