On December 5th, the first-ever alumnae art exhibit opened with fanfare at the offices of Los Angeles City Councilman Bob Blumenfield. Alumna Veronica Vos ’08 coordinated pairing the district’s annual holiday Open House with the opening for Louisville’s show. Hundreds of guests were treated to food provided by local restaurants, a performance by the Gary Mendell jazz trio and a chance to meet and converse with the artists.
Seventy artworks by thirteen LvHS artist-alums and their former teacher, Liz Dupuy, are being displayed through the month of June. The exhibit is open to the public daily from 9:00 – 5:00 and artwork is for sale. A portion of the proceeds from art sales will benefit Louisville’s Innovation Lab – so consider a gift of art this holiday season!
