Liturgical Life
The liturgy is the work of the people. At Louisville it is the work of the students with the guidance and support of the faculty. The Liturgical year is the template by which the school proceeds in its mission. The Gospel steps of Christ through the events of his life are celebrated at Morning Prayer, Monthly liturgical celebrations and reflections, rituals and practices aligned with each holy season: Advent, Christmas, Epiphany, Ordinary Time, Easter and Pentecost.
Louisville is a Sacramental community, and the Eucharist is the center of campus life. Masses are held in St Louis Hall and the Hall is dressed to inspire a sense of sacred space. Students from all classes help to prepare each Liturgical celebration and participate in processions, and as Lectors, Altar Servers, Eucharistic Ministers, Liturgical dancers, cantors and Music Ministers.
