Louisville High School's FIRST Robotics Team, the Royal Robotrons, was started by Tarek Shraibati, a California State University Northridge (CSUN) professor and certified engineer, together with his daughter, Nadia Shraibati. We were first mentored by Granada Hills High School's Robodox (Team 599).Since then, our team has participated annually in the Southern California Regional. In 2004, we became an independent team. In the following year, the Royal Robotrons placed in the quarter-finals at the Arizona FRC Regional and in the semi-finals at the Los Angeles FRC Regional. In 2006, the Royal Robotrons participated in the Southern California FIRST VEX Challenge, along with two FIRST FRC Events. In the 2007 FRC season, the Robotrons mentored Reseda High's VEX (Team 3536), who were beginning to form a team for the FRC competition. Currently, the Royal Robotrons are competing at this year's Los Angeles Regional and in the Las Vegas Regional..With wonderful mentors from Dreamworks, Raytheon, and Cal State Northridge(CSUN), the team completed their robot, the Spark. We are also mentoring a home-schooled student this year, Jimmy Centorino. |
FIRST is an international organization dedicated to inspiring young people to engage in the field of science, technology, and engineering, and we are proud participants in the First Robotics Challenge. This year is going to be a blast! Accomplishments
