Parents' Guild
All Louisville parents are members of the Parents Guild which supports the work of the school and provides for the needs of the students and faculty. Parents Guild meetings are held every other month at the school beginning in September.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

The Parents Guild is a service, support and fundraising organization. Your participation is necessary for the success of Louisville events. Activities sponsored by the Parents Guild are listed below and parents sign-up to volunteer for these activities at registration.

Dance Chaperone - Parents chaperone school dances on a Friday or Saturday evening from 7:30-11:00 p.m. Parents may volunteer as a couple or individually and will be rotated around the campus for the safety of the students.

Monthly Mailings - Parents meet in the conference room during the last week of the month at 8:00 a.m. until 9:30-10:00 a.m. to mail the monthly Fleur de Lis school newsletter. This involves collating, folding, labeling and posting the newsletter to be sent to all parents in the school. This is a great way to meet other parents and catch up on the school news.

Food - Parents supply baked goods or appetizers to be served at Louisville events and are contacted as needed.

Hospitality - Parents organize, set up and serve refreshments at 5-6 school-sponsored events, generally in the evenings and some weekends.

Class Representatives - Parents assist class moderators with school functions, generally through phone calls or fliers. They also assist with fundraising events involving their particular class.

Barbecues - The Parents Guild sponsors a few barbecues during the year which usually include hamburgers, chicken, chips and soda. The Dads Club is responsible for the barbecuing. Additional volunteers are needed to order, pick-up and/or deliver supplies needed for lunch, as well as wrap cooked burgers, collect money, distribute lunch and clean up. Volunteers are needed during the school day from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. and may assist with all or part of the day.

Parent volunteers orchestrate and coordinate the sale of pre-made sandwiches and salads for the picnic as well as a flower sale. (Orders are taken for the picnic lunch and flowers. Flowers and food need to be picked up and distributed after Mass.) The event takes place in May and the time commitment is from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. and parents may assist with all or part of the day. Additional help may be needed ahead of time in preparation for the day.
