Louisville High School student athletes earn seven top-ten team rankings in the CIF-SS Academic Awards Program, with Golf ranking first
Woodland Hills, CA (April 8, 2008) – For the second year in a row, seven of Louisville’s ten CIF teams achieved top-ten rankings in the CIF-Southern Section Academic Awards Program, with only one other school with enrollment under 1500 (San Louis Obispo) achieving seven top-ten rankings for girls athletic teams.
The Louisville Golf team, achieving the highest average GPA among all girls golf teams in CIF- Southern Section with enrollment under 1500, will be honored at a pre-game ceremony at the Tuesday, April 29, 2008, Angels baseball game at Angel Stadium. The Cross Country team ranked 2nd and the Soccer team ranked 3rd in the CIF-SS Academic Awards Program.
Five other teams at Louisville High School ranking high in the academic competition include the Softball team (6th), Tennis and Basketball teams (7th), Track team (9th) and Water Polo team (12th). Seven of Louisville’s teams rank 1st among the Mission League schools and all Catholic high schools in the CIF-SS Academic Awards Program.
