Louisville Water Polo Upsets Third-Seeded Malibu in CIF Quarterfinals!
The Royals took the bite out of the Shark's attack on
Saturday in Malibu just days after defeating the defending CIF champions, Cabrillo of Lompoc. Julaiana Botting's second goal of the game tied the score with 40 seconds left and Heidi Carlson's second goal with less than a second remaining led visiting Louisville (20-11) to an upset victory over third-seeded Malibu. Brooke Carpenter also scored twice and Stephanie Pastore added 11 saves. Louisville will proceed to the semifinals on Wednesday February 19th against Arroyo Grande (LA Times results. H2O Polo Walks on Water in CIF Playoffs!
Congratulations to the Varsity Water Polo team who defeated the Titans of Nipomo by a score of 11-3 in the first round of the CIF–SS playoffs!!! With the victory the Royals improved to 18-11 for the season…and will advance to the second round of the CIF playoffs Thursday at Cabrillo High School in Lompoc.

Versus Nipomo…the Royals lead 6-2 at half time and scored goals from Elizabeth Leoni and Juliana Botting who had 3 goals apiece... Kelsey Mulflur and Brooke carpenter, who had 2 goals apiece…and Katie Mulflur, Emily Greenwood and Heideih Carlson who each had 1 goal and 1 assist. Junior Stephanie Pastore was once again stellar in goal…with 12 saves and an assist. Great job and good luck Aqua Royals!!


Water Polo Wins 1st Round Game in the Rancho Bernardo Tournament
The Varsity Water Polo team traveled to
San Diego for the Rancho Bernardo Tournament and defeated Eastlake High School by a score of 13-9. The Royals were lead by junior Brooke Carpenter, who scored 5 goals, and sophomore Julianna Botting who had 3 goals and 4 assists. Junior Stephanie Pastore was stellar in goal as the Royals evened their record to 1-1. The Rancho Bernardo Tournament will continue through the weekend. Good luck Water Polo!
The Water Polo team, under the direction of Andy Walsh, plays at Pierce College. The
Royals were the Mission League Champions in 2005-06 and have made the CIF Playoffs every year since their inception in 1995. The Royals traveled to Chicago this past summer and also competed in the Servite tournament, honing their skills for another run at the Mission League title.
