Swim Teams Take to the Pool

Congratulations to the Varsity and JV swim teams...

who both defeated Chaminade last Thursday. On the Varsity side, races were won by senior K. Gosnell, juniors D. Romano, J. Schem and S. Pastore, sophmores E. Greenwood, C. Davidson and J. Botting and freshman C. Moran. The JV team finished off an undefeated league season. Congratulations to our water Royals!

JV Swim team defeats Harvard-Westlake

Congratulations to the JV Swim team who defeated Harvard-Westlake on Thursday by a score of 81-80. The meet came down to the final relay where  the 400 Free Relay of A. Bocek, A. Bachelor, G. Wilson and S. Sosa were victorious, giving our Royals the victory. Races were also won on the JV team by sophomore M. Svenson and freshman B. Napier. The win was the 1st win against Harvard-Westlake for any Royals Swim team in over 5 years. Congratulations also to junior D. Romano who swam a personal best in winning the 50 Freestyle on the Varsity team Congratulations to all of our water Royals!

Season Kickoff!

The Swim team started the season in style with a 95-75 victory over the Braves of Birmingham High School. The Varsity Swim team is lead by seniors K. Gosnell, E. Leoni and G. Haney. The Royals had another strong swim in their next meet vs. Saugus High School. For the Varsity, junior J. Schem won the 100 meter backstroke and 500 meter free style, and junior D. Romano won the 100 meter free style.

In the JV meet, races were won by freshmen S. Sosa, A. Bocek and C. Moran, and by sophomore M. Svenson. The Royals begin Mission League action Wednesday, March 19, vs. Harvard-Westlake. Good luck Royals!!
