The Guidance Department
The Guidance Department offers a comprehensive program that focuses on assisting students to grow intellectually and personally. The department provides an array of programs and services to support not only the students, but also their parents and teachers. These support services include academic, personal, college and career counseling for students throughout the year, and special community-assisted programs. In order to maximize the students’ ability to have access to an advisor, Louisville maintains a staff of five counselors, one for each grade level, and a college counselor. Counselors and teachers make themselves available after school, as well as during lunchtime and breaks.
