Individual counseling is an integral part of the Louisville experience. Each student is assigned a grade-level counselor who will meet with her at least once per quarter and who will closely monitor her academic progress. Counselors work closely with teachers and parents when students are experiencing academic difficulty. To supplement individual counseling the Guidance Department also provides a variety of services which include community referrals, a series of workshops designed exclusively for freshmen, periodic Awareness and Wellness Days which bring a wide array of speakers to campus, lunchtime career speakers and The Freedom from Chemical Dependency Program.
